Sunny Side Up is perfectly positioned to explore a series of secluded bays, cliffs and sea caves between Shioya Beach and Otaru.
Our guided sea kayaking tours paddle along the spectacular coastline near the famous Otaru Blue Cave, where clear blue water meets dramatic cliffs along the Sea of Japan.
Tours are relaxed and suitable for beginners. Along the way we explore caves and quiet bays, paddle beneath the cliffs, and enjoy the natural beauty of the coast.
Swimming is often possible during the warmer months.

Sunny Side Up Guiding Policy
Paramount for Sunny Side Up is the safety and well being of our guests. Our extensive experience in the ocean and mountains gives us a profound respect for nature, and we may be forced to alter our plans if we encounter adverse conditions that may put our guests at undue risk. Your safety is our top priority. If we deem the conditions to be too dangerous then the tour will be cancelled. If we deem that it is too risky to proceed to Blue Cave then we may have to alter the tour route. The decision rests with the guide and his/her decision is final.
